Pedals

There are three pedals on the piano. The one on the left is for softening the sound, the one in the middle is for keeping the current note in its original sound and also softening the noise. The one on the right is for creating the tone's echo and to lengthen the note. The pedals are made of solid brass.

Brass: It is an alloy of copper and zinc it has a colour similar to gold and is relatively resaistant to tarnishing.
TYPES OF BRASS.
Admiralty brass: 30% zinc and 1% tin
Aiches alloy: 61% copper, 36% zinc, 1.02% tin, 1.074 iron.
